Inoculation of M-Series bacteria. The M-Series is a collection of samples taken from Fox River near Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

- Did a freezeback of the new D. metalli so that we have an original source in the freezer.
- Aliquoted TGY broth to flasks for inoculation.
- Made 500 mL of TGY with agar for plates and 250 mL of TGY broth.

- M56 - gram positive, rods in chains
- M72 - gram positive, rods in long chains (look like threads)
- M88 - gram negative, short rods in long chains
- M124 - gram positive, large rods in short chains
- M176 - gram positive, small rods in short chains
- M184 - gram positive, large rods with "heads" in short chains
- M591 - gram positive, various sized rods in short chains
- M654 - gram positive, short rods in chains
- M825 - gram positive, rods alone or in very short chains
- D. metalli - gram positive, small rods alone or in pairs, clumped together
